Heritage Galvanised Roofing
Glegg Manufacturing creates heritage roofing for a large variety of clients around Brisbane, other parts of South East Queensland and as far north as Cairns in Tropical North Queensland.
For heritage buildings, roofing must be constructed from z600 and must comply with a range of guidelines for heritage-listed buildings.
Our team has extensive knowledge of these guidelines and has worked closely with local architects and the state’s heritage trust. We ensure each roof we create is true to the era and helps the property maintain its original charm.

Step 1: Consultation
We discuss your roofing project, including design and heritage requirements.
Custom roofing fabrications typically involve in-depth consultation throughout the manufacturing process, to ensure we can meet the client’s desires and carry out the work efficiently.
Step 2: Fabrication
Our team draws on 50 years of custom roofing experience and works meticulously to create your roofing sheets to your exact specifications.
Here’s a little more detail about the manufacturing process for the Gospel Oak process:
- 3 or 4 rib profile
- Pressed to form it at correct centres (middle to rib, middle to rib on each one)
- Because lot of heritage building change the centres
- We can vary (due to machinery we have) to match the centre
- Bespoke work – sizing to match the original
- Heritage work is from .6 TCT z600 galvanised iron
- Can be made to order in colorbond, copper and or stainless-steel materials
Step 3: Accessories
We also custom-make all accessories to go with:
- Barge capping
- Ridge capping
- Window flashing
- Apron flashing
Step 4: Installation:
At Glegg Manufacturing we don’t install the sheet metal pieces we manufacture. However, we do have a database of trusted installers we have worked with before and can recommend.
